Where to go?

For largest and wildest crowd
Where the largest and wildest crowd in Bangkok are probably at, Silom will definitely be packed on two levels with thousands of Thais carrying anything that can spray water. For those that would like in a relatively dry environment, you can stay on the BTS sky walk that runs above the street. From up the BTS sky walk, you can witness the full extent of the game: a huge colorful crowd slowly walking between two rows of stalls selling water guns, food, soft drinks and of course, lots of beer.

Getting wet from head-to-toes
For those who enjoyed the idea of getting wet from head-to-toes in the middle of the wild wet party, Khao San Road is the place to be. With the entire length of the road, turning into an almighty water battlefield, you will be sure to expect lots of fun and excitement. Please do note that there will be police checkpoints confiscate bottles, cans and the white powder that is usually rubbed on people’s faces. However, you still will be able to enjoy all the alcohol inside one of the many bars that stay open throughout the festive.

For a more traditional Songkran
If you prefer a more traditional Songkran, head over to Phra Pradaeng district where the Thai-Raman communities live out their Songkran traditions. Here, the celebrations take place about a week later than in central Bangkok and is filled with cultural significance. You will not only get splashed here, but also enjoy an array of cultural activities, such as the Thai-Ramn flag ceremony, ‘saba’ game, Raman dances, boat races, floral floats parade, and many more.
