“Learning a New Language” A Solo Exhibition by Dilan Jayakody

Inspired by Bangkok and created with simple materials, Learning a New Language explores Dilan Jayakody’s personal journey of discovering creativity through curiosity, observation, and the courage to begin.

From monochrome portraits and colourful illustrations to sculptural works inspired by Thailand, each piece reflects a different lesson from his artistic journey. Using materials as simple as black paper, coloured pens, and modelling clay, Dilan invites us to see that creativity is not about having the perfect tools. It is about having the courage to start.
